BDSM and kink workshops in Montreal

Sessions where you learn a practice, run by people who have done it for years. Rope, impact, wax, electro, hypnosis, negotiation. Most run two or three hours and need booking ahead, because places are counted.

What happens

Part demonstration, part hands-on. Many workshops are fine with you watching instead of taking part, and saying so when you book is usually enough. Gear is often provided the first time, which saves buying before you know whether the practice speaks to you.

How much you need to know

Look for the “beginners welcome” note on the listings: it is filled in when the organization says so. A workshop without it generally assumes some grounding, though that is not a rule. When in doubt, most organizations answer questions before you book.

Where to start

Negotiation and consent workshops come before technique ones, and they cost less. Picking up the vocabulary there — limits, safeword, aftercare — makes every other class easier to follow, and makes it possible to say no at the right moment.
