Free kink events in Montreal

Much of what matters in the scene costs nothing. Munches are almost all free, you pay for your drink and that is it. Discussions and several intro workshops run on a voluntary contribution, which means you give what you can, including nothing. This page gathers what is announced as free or without a fixed price.

Voluntary contribution

“PWYC”, “sliding scale”, “suggested donation”. All three say the same thing. A figure is sometimes printed as a guide, and nobody checks what you drop in. It is how a lot of collectives work, preferring a full room to a profitable one.

What is free by default

Munches, most discussions, and the rope jams held at someone’s place or in a lent space. Technical workshops do cost real money, because the person teaching has to be paid and usually the room as well.

Paying less elsewhere

Several organizations keep reduced-price spots without advertising them, and writing to ask is enough. Volunteers generally get in without paying, big events included. Asking has never cost anyone a place.
